Emerly Greer is a homebody, she keeps to herself and is a bit awkward around others. Although she meets a ton of people she always declines offers to go out until she finally gets roped into going for drinks with a couple girls from her yoga class. Emerly has met Travis McAllister a few times when he has picked up his nephew but when he drives her home after she gets a bit tipsy, something changes. Travis expresses his interest and plans to pursue Emerly, he knows that she is the one but Emerly is nervous about how fast they are moving and when she is attacked during a burglary Travis picks up his game.

A big fan of this series. I liked this couple, Emerly is quirky and I loved her character. Travis is an alpha male who has to sometimes navigate when Emerly misunderstands signals he has sent. I can't wait for the next book. Great author, if you have not picked up her books it is well worth doing so.

Claim Talon Security Book 2 edition by Megan O'Brien Romance eBooks Reviews

The first book in the series was amazing so when I preordered this book, it was with high hopes. It did not disappoint. The love story is front and center in this one. I loved that the heroine was strong in her own right without being in your face about it. The brotherhood of the guys is an integral and moving part of these books and the author does it more than justice. Yes, I would've liked a bit from the Hero's side of things but it didn't detract from the story at all. I can not wait to read more!
The Talon Security Series introduced me to Megan O'Brien and I have not looked back since. I love the heroine in this book - Emerly is 'quirky' , loyal and stands up for herself.
Even though she finds herself very attracted to Travis, she sets boundaries and respects herself enough to break things off when he messes up - big time. And if you love dogs and cats... they are part of teh supporting cast of characters!
Must read!
I have read the entire Ride series and the first book in the Talon Security series and each has been a five star read for me. Megan O'Brien has done it again with Claim Book 2 in the Talon Security series. This book was so freaking great. I just loved it. I also love Emerly and Travis together. I am a lover of romantic suspense, with hot alphas, sassy, strong heroines, great characters, hot sex scenes and an interesting story. If all of that sounds good to you then one-click Claim because you will not be disappointed. This book can be read as a standalone, but if you are able, I recommend reading the first book in the series and the Ride series as well just because they are all such fantastic reads.
Claim is the second book in the Talon Security series by Megan O'Brien.

Travis McAllister was gorgeous, former military, head of his own security firm, protective and intense. Emerly Greer was a beautiful, quirky, yoga teaching preschool teacher. Travis and Emerly met through Travis' sister Sam (Crave, book one).

Claim was told in the singular POV, Emerly. It was a sweet and easy read with little to no angst. It was suspenseful with a little action, but was fairly predictable, although still entertaining.

Claim was well written and well developed, but had a few editing errors, primarily missing words. Not enough to be distracting, but enough to take notice.

True to form with the series, O'Brien utilized a strong cast of supporting characters from both past and future books. Emerly's brother, Ryan, was also introduced and was another great addition for the series.

All in all, it was enjoyable and a quick read. Next up is Theo. He's the humorous and flirty one so I can't wait to see where O'Brien leads us.
I've loved other books by this author, my faves being Cal & Crave. I was so excited to see she had a new book out. Emerly was not my cup of tea though. She was whiny, overly dramatic and really just stupid. She left a dinner because he called her "quirky" and then left his house (which was safe) and went back to hers (which was not safe) because he didn't invite her to a work dinner. Then she complains about everything moving to fast but is upset when he hasn't proposed after two months? I did like Travis except I wanted him to stand up for himself.
This was a good book but to be honest, my least favorite book of all the books I've read by the author. I binged on the Knights series and loved every book. This series is good but more "tame"; love scenes aren't as sizzling and the chemistry between the couples isn't as strong. This series feels more formulaic to me. I liked Travis a lot and I liked seeing him go from a person who had a hard time with openly expressing his feelings to someone who was just crazy-head-over heels for Emerly. I liked seeing him evolve emotionally for Emerly, whose name I love.I also liked Emerly a lot; what I didn't like was the plot of why she needed to be "rescued" by Travis - really implausible. That really made the book less interesting to me because when stuff would happen to Emerly, I would just roll my eyes and sludge thru that part so I could get to the juicier parts of the book. I hope book 3 is better in terms of the mystery, WHODUNIT subplot
I love this series. That being said I would have really loved to get both view points. The story was so well written I didn't feel as if I was missing anything by not getting Travis's viewpoint, but it always seems to up the hot factor . This story is Travis and Em and picks up about 3years after Sid and Sam get their happy ever after. It is very typical of this author and very alpha male oriented. If you loved Crave you'll love Claim as well. You don't have to read crave to follow along , but I recommend doing so. The author also leaves you excited for the next in the series, which hopefully will be Theo and Sara. Loved this book and the only thing that kept me from a 5 star was the lack of dual viewpoint.
